New Centerlocks have arrived @ Champion Motorsport

If the RG72 looks vaguely familiar, there's a good reason. Based on the timeless design of the RG5 monolite, the RG72 features the same classic motorsport-inspired design with a few key styling revisions that bring it up to date. The most noticeable difference is that the RG72 is specially designed to work with 2010 and newer Porsche centerlock-equipped vehicles. Because of the revised center, each spoke is also slightly thicker then the RG5, giving the RG72 a bit more of a muscular and purposeful look, which makes it right at home on the track. However, like the RG5, the RG72 still features the same diamond cut and clearcoated outer lip, giving it just enough shine to be right at home on the street as well.

One of the most outstanding features of the RG72, and all Champion Motorsport wheels, is the detailed manufacturing process used to make every wheel. Each wheel starts life as a solid piece of A6061 aluminum, which is heated treated to T6 standards then forged using an 8000 pound press. The center bore and detail of each wheel is then carefully CNC machined, creating the wheel's final shape. The final step is the application of our signature Brilliant Silver paint and glossy protective clearcoat. The entire process results in a wheel that not only looks fantastic, but is also one of the lightest and strongest wheels available today.

The RG72 is available in fitments for the 997.2 GT3, GT3RS, and 997.2 Turbo. For more information or to check availability, feel free to give us a call or click the Live Chat button at the top of the page to be connected to a Champion Motorsport wheel expert.

The lip size is limited due to the way the centerlock needs to sit within the drop center. We maximized the lip as much as we could.

The car belongs to board member Jim Jonson Rebel Rock . You will see much more about Champion and Jim's new joint venture

Ahhh...the center lock is the sinner ;o) Well...nothing to do about that. It's so hot anyway. Really a refreshing old/new design. Looks rock solid and not too busy. Are they light weight?
