Actually scratch what I said before, or at least the second bit.....
I didn't realise the comparison was a quarter mile drag - I forgot that this is some people's measure of performance for a Porsche.....
The VTG loading I was referring to will not show itself in such low load, low speed testing so these "tuners" can do whatever they want to the VTG loading and the engines will hold up in a 1/4mile/~140mph acceleration blast.
The testing below was what I was referring to, I was running an ECU program which overloaded the VTGs and increased IATs massively at 300kph despite aerospace intercoolers but as you can see from the graph by 140mph/230kph there is barely any increase @ 14degC above despite the tune being a potential exploda !

I'm in as well for this. MIR would be a great venue for a drag race. Summit Point for the road course.
Perhaps some of the other Tuners will want to join the fun???

Folks,
We just got off the phone with TPC and our professional challenge has been ACCEPTED. The details will be addressed by both parties early next week. First and foremost we have to select a venue that is spectator friendly as well as accommodating for our tests.
Testing Includes:
-Road Course ( Time trials )
-Dyno ( Horsepower and Torque Figures )
-Quarter Mile times
-60-130 times
We hope to see all of you there =)
