Wheel choice: Lip or no?

One thing not sure if you're aware, the biggest difference IMO between those 2 wheels beside lip vs. no lip is the 171's have a huge, deep dive towards the center of the rear wheels & the spokes are really curved, you dont see this as much in pictures vs. in person. In person the 171's are awesome. In black even better. Couldnt be happier w/ them.
Plus lip's are passe & not as strong.

To me, getting a nicely designed wheel with some sort of fancy finish or color is a moot point if you're getting a big lip. You can't see the spokes, and I think it takes away from the flow of the body shape on the 997; especially on the wide body.
