Is there anyone in the SF bay area who has these so I can test fit them in person perhaps. I would need to find out how low I can mount them since increased headroom (helmet) is my main motivation. Recently acquired and sold a set of very rare OEM CSL seats which forced me to sit far too vertical compounding my headroom issue.

Perhaps you could send a set to sharkwerks for demo purposes

+1, and is the tilt mechanism similar with just one quick lever?
The bottom sliders are 16" apart and can be mount on other cars with correct sub mount. I've install this recline seats, sCGT (997GT3 style), sGT3(996GT3 style) seats in my 996TT. sFCGT sat the lowest and I need to made thicker bottom cushion for daily drive. Keep that in mind, I'm 6'1". So if headroom clearance is your main concern, this maybe the best solution for you!

Will these still be available in two years, and will they fit in a 914?
We have carrera GT style seats too. That cost even less at about $2k!

Wow, those are the most beautiful non OEM-PORSCHE seats I've ever seen!

Would they fit in a 914?

I don't see why it can't be fitted in a 914, so I will wait for your order in 2012

Is it possible, in the near future, for you to make some one of larger size a one off pair of these seats? Reclinable or non reclinable?

How big are you? this sFCGT recline seats are much bigger than OEM GT3 seats. Couple big frame customers (6'3" 250lbs, 38" waist) try them and found they really comfortable.

On the issue of safety... and this is in no way to disparage this product in any way. I get that you have to say for offroad use only for legal purposes i'm guessing because there has been no FIA testing or similar done to get them approved (i'm assuming there is significant cost involved with that).

But I mean... will these things still hold up in a crash? Are they as strong as the stockers? I think they look awesome... I just want to make sure I can look awesome and not end up with a broken spine should the worst happen due to my vanity.
