There was no supporting arguments for this and is baseless unless the statement was already understood. If not, it was made under pretense. Either way, it's pretentious and has nothing to do with your ability to own either. It's great to have an opinion, but at least have a point! No need to dog on someone that does.

And for the record, I like to have an open mind on things. Reasons like: "It's a Toyota" or "It's Japanese" or "It doesn't have any heritage" doesn't fly without explanation.
