What's fastest ? Turbo S vs GTR vs LFA vs SLS

The GTR does indeed have launch control... But due to so many transmissions getting damaged, and not getting covered by warranty repair, Nissan reprogrammed at what RPM to launch the car. Thus greatly reducing performance; at least compared to the other cars in this comparo.
Now if Porsche tried to pull what Nissan did and not cover a broken tranny as the result from launching from Zero under warranty there would be major back-lash! Besides the OEM cost on a new GTR tranny is almost a third of the cost of the vehicle.

Not to mention it took way to frigen long to develop. It was more or less an over priced pet project for one of the grandchildren of the founder of the company. A major bust as I'm concerned when it comes to the time it takes to develop a Japanese car!

I wouldn't call it a bust though, it sold every one for asking or above asking price and the technology learned can be used for the next mass produced platform. I think the LF-A accomplished what it needed to, but agree it it would have been much better received if it would have been 5 years earlier. Now Toyota/Lexus and Nissan have their next gen cars on ground, Honda needs to market a follow on to the NSX (not that front engined whatever its called).
