Just got my VIN from dealer....
The saga continues....
While you guys are posting pics of your Turbo's and Turbo S' - I am still here with nothing more than my sales order receipt.
When I ordered the car (March 09), my dealer told me it was a June delivery - when I pushed more specifically, he said - second week of June.
Ok - I said fine - I can wait that long....
Third week of June - I'm just told now that my VIN was issued yesterday. From what i've read here, its at least 4 weeks from obtaining a VIN for the car to arrive at the dealership (New Jersey). Any truth to this?
I'm certainly a little pissed - I didnt order the car with some options becasue they would have held delivery back. Now, I probably wont get this car until August - It is upsetting.
I was buying this car to drive for the summer and then get out before end of the model year. Now the economics dont work out.
Any insight into how long it takes from time VIN is issued to arrival at dealer would be apprecaited.
Maybe I should just seek out a used Panny turbo for the time being....
Best,
a sad and dissapointed asg

Frustrating and disappointing for sure... but once the keys get in your hand your memory will get short as form that day you'll reborn!
You're talking about the most sophisticated machine Porsche currently makes... it's gonna be worth it. Just get yourself busy... drive other than a sport car these coming few weeks for a change.
Good luck

i ordered a Turbo S as well from my NJ dealer and held back on certain options because i wanted it for the summer... it was an April build.
i wanted the Turbo S badge on storage lid and stainless illuminated door sills which werent available to be ordered at the time.
long story short, the vessel it was on docked in Baltimore on June 14th and the car has just been sitting there with NO explanation as to why or when it will get put on a truck.
makes no sense... i feel your pain - i'm going through the same thing.
which dealer (PM me if you'd like) did you order from and which model?
