Autoblog tells us that The crew at Motor Trend has turned out some pretty tasty videos over the past few months, but nothing like the clip after the jump. Editor-At-Large Arthur St. Antoine and two of his cohorts wrangle three icons of the modern supercar era through the desert outside of Las vegas. The contenders are three German heavyweights – the Porsche 911 Turbo, the Audi R8 5.2 FSI and the new kid on the block, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The guys even managed to convince the California Highway Patrol to close down a section of road for their very own playground.

Great video. As capable as the Porsche is, it just sounds feeble next to the SLS.
