DFI on Turbo, is this gonna be a problem ???

Hearing on other forums that dfi engines gradually lose power over time, due to coking on the valves ?

Anyone gor any news and views on this ???

Very valid question. FI systems have been catastrophic on audis/vws. It does have to do with a bad PCV system. An oil catch can seems to be the solution to carbon buildup in the head. Only time will tell.

Don't worry, the 3.8 DFI in the carrera S has been out for almost 2 years now and there aren't any problems reported so far.

I believe this is one of the most overhyped phenomenons on the internet. Go and enjoy your new car(when you get it).

As a soon to be owner of a 2011 Turbo S, would you mind elaborating? Thanks.

In the world of Porsche, even the most minute detail can be over-blown. Porsche people, in general- are HYPER critical of the brand and would be 'issues'.

Before DFI it was RMS and IMS issues. The amount of failures, while REAL; were small in porportion to the amount of engines w/o out any of the issues.

You just hear the bad stuff 100X more with Porsche. It's just the way it is.

You'll be F I N E.
