I know a guy who was thinking about maybe picking one up. How would you rate it at performance for the price, and every day practicality?

The good cars start at $52k. Price to perfomance ratio is basically excellent. At these prices it has become the ideal daily driver, at least to me

They're actually planning to wait until the 998 comes out. When the 998 comes out I think the price will drop into the 40's. When the 998 Turbo comes out, into the 30's. They were looking for a pair of rims to put on it, now, they want a black 996 Turbo, with those same rims, but with the center area painted in black. I also used these rims in the thread in my signature =) Check it out.

I did a photoshop of what the 996 Turbo should look like when it's finished.
