NinjaBoy, I recently modified my car nothing to much just the ecu and exhaust w/o cats, boost 1.1bar, I wanted to ask you if i should be worried about the tip at this level of power.
I am not racing my car everyday, we don't have in romania any circuit or a drag strip so lets say that from time to time i will race someone from a rolling start but not to often !

Actually 1.1 bar is ok for a tip transmission. But If u change the turbos to bigger ones or further more modifications then its best to do ur tranny upgrade......My car was on 1.1 with stock tranny but when i modified it later on , my tranny couldnt handle the power even at 1.1bar. Have a look on Youtube, protomotive 996tt in bahrain and see the tranny when it changes to the 3rd gear and notice the slipping.

it still look like the tranny is slipping a little bit between 143 - 152 km.

In the video of Protomotive 996tt in Bahrain, the tranny was not upgraded. But if u look at this, this was running on 1.4 bar with tranny upgrade. Notice the difference when shifting to from 3rd to 4th. That lag between 143 - 150 has nothing to do with the tranny. Its coz of the furl ignition. Remember i was running it on pump gas ( low octane ) silly me..
