When you say rolling race in 2nd gear, does that mean both cars in second gear? That in itself could easily hinder the Veyron as it would be way down in the rev range @ only 75kmh...

On a side note it did look like the Veyron let off long before the truck.

 

Yes, the Veyron is at very low rprms in the second gear at 75 km/h, that is huge disadvantage itself. Also I agree that looks like Veyron let off too early and looks like that it was pushed in not full power, also it looks like only one gear change for Veyron before it let off. Also I agree with the opinion that the speed is too low for such distance also. Sorry for me being sceptical, but for the full impression and really fair result it would be nice to have a clean drag strip and closer video.

There is no doubt that their are plenty of Porsches that could beat the Veyron... Just saying this isnt the vid to judge that by..
