2011 Turbo S dealer discount

what would you say normal dealer discount would/should be for a good customer (past purchases) looking to purchase one of these vehicles? How far would dealer go... keep in mind this will be my build and not buying the car off the floor.

thanks

As good as these guys are, remember you are buying a rare, end of model life cycle vehicle, with a bad year for dealers the past 18 months, and little wiggle room.

That said, if you can establish (or have) a relationship with a good dealer, sometimes they can make some discounts available. Just set your expectations very low on discounts for this model.

A few grand, maybe. Beyond that, doubtful.

Just my two grand, er, uh cents.

I'm pretty sure that significant discounts on a customer ordered TT-S is pretty unlikely given the low allocations and reasonable demand.

My dealer, a relatively high volume dealer in Chicagoland and a Premier dealer, has a total allocation of 4 TT-S's for all of 2010...2 coupes and 2 cabs.

I think I'm getting around a 2% discount, but this is only because I've purchased 4 previous Porsches over the past 8 years from them. And, they know I have car ADD...a terminal case of car ADD...

We sell cars like this at MSRP... In a year where Porsches not producing cars (see alin's post), be happy you were able to secure an allocation because I know plenty of people who want S's or GT3RS's etc that are great customers and didn't get them.

i just ordered a new Turbo S today, April build, and they told me they weren't able to offer anything at all off the sticker because their waiting list was way longer than the three cars they were allotted.

^^^ This is true. In certain instances, people *still* are not even aware of the car. They will go fast enough.

And before you know it *poof!*

No more 997!
