Techart vs. Vorsteiner Steering wheel?

My next 'expensive' mod is most definitely going to be a new steering wheel. I already have a buyer for my OEM CF one. Just need to decide on which new one I want to get.
Techart is obviously the consensus favorite. No doubt the quality is top notch. Only two problems I have are 1) no flat bottom option, 2) the price

Been also seriously considering the Vorsteiner version.

Vorsteiner News & Media

I don't know how the thickness compares to the Techart or the quality of the leather. Don't think they have an option for CF if I decide to go that route. It is considerably less expensive. Unfortunately, to my knowledge, no one on this forum has this wheel.

Thoughts here?

The Vorsteiner is a good alternative to the TechArt. Pricing is reasonable and yes the flat bottom is an a great option to have.

Although i have NOT seen or held in person the Vorsteiner steering wheel in person yet, i can vouch for the Techart's quality, feel and look. Let me know what options you would like on either steering wheel and ill send you some pricing

I have great things to say about all the Vorsteiner products I've had. Best service and the CF work is top notch! I'm sure they'll get you a special TS price too!

Vorsteiner is top notch as I have had personal experience with both. Both are good, both are very good, but you can't beat vorsteiner's pricing and service.

I have a Techart wheel in my 997TT. I love it.

But it is VERY thick and can take some getting used to.

Also, Techart requires a core exchange.

Think all the manufacturers give the option of a core exchange. Don't believe they 'require' one, but you will have to pay the core charge. Do you have pics, Dana?
