In love. Although there is no manual trans option, PDK is an incredible transmission in itself... and there is always the standard Turbo or GT3 for the manual fiends!

Even without manual transmission I am in love with this car. Great thread, I am simply happy that my holiday trip is delayed from last sunday to this tuesday, it gave me chance to see this great thread

Interesting that there is no increase in torque between the standard Turbo and the S. I guess engine/PDK are close to their limits, doubly emphasised by the biggest 9A1 engine powerkit on the market currently by speedART @ 580PS and 720Nm i.e they are increasing power but keeping torque well down. A M64 engine would be over 800Nm torque with that level of horse power.

"... I guess engine/PDK are close to their limits"

Alex I was thinking the same thing but it will be interesting to see what some of the tuners will try.

Hmm, I would have thought there would have been changes to the outside of the car. Basically a Turbo with all the options checked. Still a nice two/tone interior, those are gorgeous.

I doubt PDK is close to its limit; how ever will they improve upon the HP/TQ rating on the 998 Turbo? - They always leave themselves room to improve.

I guess I can come out of hiding now on this car and actually talk about it.

So there you have it folks, the last iteration of 997 Turbo. Cos thats all she 'wrote' until for a few years!

Double clutch automatic is the future, it's as simple as that.
Sure manual is more demanding and more fun to some people but when it comes to quick shifts and fuel efficiency this new technology has all the advantages.
I really like this car
