Sunday Photo Shoot (pics)
#7
We redid the back drive (we are on a corner, front and rear drives) a couple years ago and I had the guy slope the curb just right. So going in on the angle is perfect.
We have a large upper driveway area so I always exit nose first. The problem is, the asphalt at the street is just high enough to catch the lip every time I exit.
And yes, I do the 'ghetto slide' on the way out, yet there is zero clearance, so I need a lift kit. I looked at it yesterday and stopped the vehicle right at the scuff point. Not even enough room to slide a piece of paper between lip and asphalt.
See my post on this board about lift kits....looks like I need to throw more coin at this thing or else keep painting and swapping lips. And from what I'm reading, the TechArt Kit with coilovers will drop the car about 1" then give me 60mm lift when needed.
But has anyone done the T/A coilovers? What's the change in ride quality? How much drop? What other changes? What else is needed post install?
Casey, there's a great business park off S. Tryon in Charlotte. This sculpture actually rotates (each layer moves differently) and there are water features. It's on the inbound flight path too, so lots of large planes coming in all the time, very cool for photos.
We ARE toying with some protection devices, but it's just on the drawing board now.
