Still in the "Werks"....a little teaser from Werks One Composites

Take a deep breath.

Champion Motorsport would like to let everyone in on what we have been working on for the 997 Turbo. Many of you have already seen our Werks One Composites carbon fiber Y-Pipe. Now we have the perfect compliment to that work of art. Our engineers have developed a larger throttle body package. This package includes a full carbon fiber T-Pipe, a made-in-house 84mm throttle body, and a silicone coupler.

This can only be purchased as a kit. The custom throttle body will only work with our T-Pipe, and our silicone hose. The 84mm is measured across the plate bore of the throttle body. This is significantly larger than the factory and will allow for a much larger volume of air to flow into the intake assembly. The throttle body and T-Pipe are properly “barbed” to retain proper boost hose connection integrity.

This kit will require software in order to function properly. The T-pipe assembly will be released for sale once all testing has been completed. Dyno testing will be taking place sometime next week and the results will be published shortly after.

The T-pipe pictured in the images is the prototype. The actual production piece will have an anodized black flange for the throttle body and the rear aluminum piece will be replaced with a full carbon fiber piece with all proper fittings integrated into the carbon fiber. Once again, please note that this is our prototype piece and that the actual production piece will look much nicer. This is just to give everyone a heads up on what we have coming soon for you.
