someone needs to let markski know, so he can enjoy this place.

To be honest...the only people I've ever seen banned either tried to sell when they weren't sponsors or posted obscenities...but I'm sure I don't know about all of them.
In any event, I've been on the 6 for years and have no idea who markski is???

Actually the mods there, Scott, Chad and Chuck are really great guys. IT is IB that seems a bit of a problem. I know several people who were banned there. It is a very good forum with lots of knowledge. Markski is pretty well known, kinda hard not to know who he is. He was one of the first to run 9's in a Turbo and still has one of the fastest turbos around. It's just that you can't have sponsors controlling forums which is what happens there. In any case, good to have another home.

Lots of names I haven't seen since I was just a n00b over at 6speed, thought some of you feel off the planet.
Markski's a good guy, helped me when I was just teething on the 996turbo, sign o' the times I guess.

I respect Chad Viso as an enthusiast and moderator. Communicated with him for years.
Don't really care for the others, except 02barebones996 (Joe). He is an old friend.
The other thing that bugs me about 6Speed is that it has just become a huge dick measuring contest between tuners and owners trying to push the power envelope. Honestly, IMHO if you're that obsessed with only building a 1/4 mile car and your existence depends on whether you break the 1000hp barrier, money might be better spent on a Supra. I don't mind people trying to make their cars crazy fast and I know it's fun for many reasons, but I also think they should look at other performance aspects of the car too.
What is always funny to me is when people spend 50 or 100 grand with EVOMS or Protomotive to make their car yield 1000hp, while spending less than 10 percent of that on suspension and braking and aero.
One hope I have for this forum is that we can get more members with different sets of knowledge, so that interesting discussions can occur, and people can actually LEARN something useful.
I think we should all try to make Teamspeed the happy medium between the cranky old fukers who all think they're Ayrton Senna on Rennlist (but who have incredible technical knowledge and research) and the nouveau riche bling idiots at 6Speed who ride the jockstraps of their favorite tuners.
I hope we can get guys like Markski to contribute more here, who take the enthusiast stuff to the next level. Or Cary Eisenlohr, probably one of the best suspension gurus around. Or 1BADGT2 from Arizona, who is building probably the most insane 996 GT2 in the States.
