Porsche develop VTG technology for gasoline turbo application to produce engines which deliver peak torque at under 3000rpm to make a turbo engine perform like a very large capacity nat asp engine, finally solving the lag issue which they themselves almost invented with their first street turbo 911s in the 70s......
Someone throws the VTGs out and straps a pair of big turbos on to go dragging - why bother doing this with this car ? I just don't get it, is it just "because it can be done" ?
