Hey Alex, I think you might be thinking of the CTR3 (700hp/700tq). I had the same initial reaction as you, but I believe the first 997 Rt12 had 650hp.

Anyone notice that the engines has changed? In the past, the RT12 used to use the M96/70 variant, now the engine has finally been changed to the M97/70
