Rumor: Porsche CEO Wiedeking to leave

Porsche CEO Wiedeking to leave company - magazine | Business News | Reuters

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Porsche SE's embattled chief executive, Wendelin Wiedeking, is leaving the company, Germany's business weekly WirtschaftsWoche reported on Wednesday, without citing sources. According to the magazine, a successor will be decided on shortly. Until then, an interim executive should be found that has had management experience at both Porsche and its majority controlled subsidiary, Volkswagen.
A spokesman for Porsche SE declined immediate comment.

the whole acq of vw went south and turned into a fire sale of porsche right? i think thats grounds for dismissal. goes to show that it's best to sit still in turbulent times.

Don't be so hard to judge Wiedeking - he was the one who turned Porsche around in the first place.

He's to blame for the Panamera's ugly rear end.

Ironically, that would've killed two birds with one stone. The reason the Panamera is shaped that way in the back is because Wiedeking wanted to be able to comfortably fit in the back seat (he's 6' 2" I think). If he were to have no head, it wouldn't be as large.
