Finally back in a 911 Turbo! - Pics
I sold my 996tt a year and a half ago. I have had a withdrawal syndrome ever since. I purchased a Cayenne Turbo S, yes its powerful, but thats about it. Its a great truck, but not a 911. Sold that in 6 months, and purchased a RR Vogue Supercharged (dont ask!!). Sold that in a heartbeat. I had ordered an '09 tt back in September, since I was losing way too much money in "experimenting" what I wanted. It was pretty loaded (minus PCCB, and some others). Then the whole economy went haywire, and I just did not feel right spending close to $150k on a car right now.
So I went on the hunt for a slightly used Turbo. Thanks to the economy, there were a bunch popping up everyday, and at throwaway prices. Honestly, there was one 997tt which sold for $80k (i'm converting from UAE Dirhams), maybe its becoming common in the US, but here in Dubai, it is a steal. After a little looking around I came across a very unique 2008 Turbo.
Its a paint to sample color, so I really do not know what color to call it. Its Goldish-brown (looks different in direct sunlight and different at night). The interior is Terracotta, with deviated stitiching in black in every place possible (maybe not the defroster). Full Caron interior. PCCB, etc. Its a tippy, but it sure is fun! Its actually better than the car I ordered, at a much lower price! (We optioned the car out yesterday and found out the car's value at purchase was approx $165k - so I think I did pretty good). It sure is a buyer's market now, but then again, I lost a whole lot selling the RR.
I've got Work Wheels waiting to be put on, along with Techart front and rear, GT2 sides, and Techart exhaust tips.
