Back to stock dont add mods individually on a Turbo. If you are really tempted to modify your car get yourself the FVD stage 2 package or something along these lines. From my knowledge K&N's tend to come over oiled and that can be extremely excessive in cases that the MAF can be spoiled. The better air filters are the likes of Green filters, BMC etc.

+1 I wouldn't trade a stock for a K&N

2 days after installing the K&N CAI on our 996 the CEL came on. we've had noting but problems and visits to the shop since then. we have a friend that is having the same problem. so, the K&N will be coming off. we really didn't notice any HP difference. in my opinion, it wasn't worth having it done.

some people have had it done and are very happy with no issues. i just didn't have that same luck.

best wishes!

Your car is awesome as is. Like Mo said, if you really want to mod, go all the way.
