Any and all tips on proper self-defense and use of firearms is always appreciated! And, a nice dose of old fashioned conservative politics is always a plus.

 

Careful what you ask for my friend! My favorite students are young un's! They come to training with no ego or attitude and learn really fast... I'll be out in the OC soon visiting a few friends... If you'd care to go to a range, and do some training firearms and MMA, you could have another excuse to do stuff together.

He may end up on your back, affecting your ability to draw oxygen however; which could be a problem as he approaches 16...

We love guns and MMA. My son knows a lot about weapons. You would be impressed. He kicks ass at Call of Duty 4! He wants a Sig Saur Mosquito .22 for his birthday. I am pretty inclined to get it for him too. He is responsible and respects weapons. I have several handguns - but nothing good for beginners (everything is .45 ACP or larger caliber). I am not to the point where I will let anyone touch my AR-15 yet. Maybe when I die.

He is going to start up with martial arts this year again. He quit football so I told him he had to replace it with some form of self-defense training. He likes Tae Kwon Do because his mother is Korean. I am all for it.

 

Just remember - do as he says, not as he does. We've seen some of DAD's "adventures."
