My Review of the Race Logic Driftbox with Pics

Thanks for the kind responses.
I can vouch for the accuracy fo the unit. It is definitely more accurate than any system in its price range. If Ferarri uses it at Fioarano, then it is probably pretty reliable.
I will post some of my numbers this weekend!

great post.
i myself bought the VBox Mini, which is the "big brother" to both the Performance Box and the Drift Box.
in hindsight, i really only need the Drift Box for my purposes, as the VBox has features designed for full on racing teams, and none of my cars have the outputs to monitor individual shock absorber activity, wheel slip, and a bazillion other parameters.
even if my cars were equipped to output all that data for the VBox to monitor, i wouldn't know where to start the analysis anyway!
what i DO like about the Mini is that it comes with the full featured VBox tools software package, same I believe as what comes with the big kahuna professional VBox units, that IIRC cost well above $10k...
ok, so i don't need ALL those features of the software either, but it's nice to noodle around with them on a slow sunday afternoon when i'm not out actually driving.
the guys at VBox USA have been great-- i usually correspond with Jim Lau via email or phone-- and he's never been anything but accomodating, friendly and helpful.
i think VBox have done a great job... from what i remember years ago, there were many competitors on the market, but i notice that more and more VBox has been getting great visibility, as a lot of magazines and TV shows are using them. I've noticed Drivers-Republic using them, Evo magazine, several US magazines, and even Best Motoring have started to use them as well.
I recall when i first got my unit, there was a particular software feature i used to enjoy with the Datron GPS datalogger I used to use (a LOT more expensive than the VBox, and more features, but nowhere near as user friendly) that i was looking for with the VBox tools software. I asked the VBox guys about it, and they told me they didn't have that feature yet. But they don't sit still, and now they do have that feature! So no question they are continually developing what is already a great product.
