The Sound of the Ferrari 458 Speciale Marchettino filmed the newly-revealed Ferrari 458 Speciale lapping Fiorano racetrack for some testing! The sight was brief, but enough to film a couple of accelerations and downshifts so you get to hear how does it sounds compared to the 458 Italia.
The 458 Speciale is the hardcore version of the 458 Italia, it's 90kg lighter (with a curb weight of 1290kg).

1290Kg = 2844 lbs dry weight. So what you are saying is that the McLaren 12C with a CF tub weighs more(2868 Lbs. dry) than a F458 Speciale with Non CF tub, full suspension, sway bars etc etc. That is really really hard to believe!

The Speziale is an enlightened car, the McLaren can be enlightened too. And by the way, the 12c has a complex 4wd system wich weights a lot. Converted to RWD it can wieght easily 1.200 kg.

But I'm sure that the british can be lighter. A proper comparation will be betwen the 12c and the 458 Italia.
