Hi guys. I recently switched my 3.8 rs for a 458 and am totally blown away with its performance and noise. I now want to take it on track but have heard it eats brakes and can turn to cheese after a few laps. Any help much appreciated!

before I got my challenge car, I bring my 458 out on the track whenever I get the chance... I do go hard on the track, done 10000kms on the car so far and only on my 2nd set of brake pads and 50% left on the disc... so it isn't that bad....

 

That's not bad at all. Have you done a geo and what tyres do you run?
Most importantly, does it make a good track car!

I have been running stock peri tyres on the italia even for track work. the car is amazing and handles really well on the track with the stock tyres. very fast on straight line, but my GT3 RS is more fun especially for cornering etc.... overall I love driving the 458 on the track and never got sick of it, she outperforms a lot of other road cars available in the market


but all these changes after I got my challenge car...
