Slowhand's One-Off Ferrari Takes To The Hill
Eric Clapton's bespoke creation delights the crowds at Goodwood
Ferrari's One-Off program has crafted some of the most unique vehicles in the world, and Eric Clapton's SP12 EC is certainly no exception. It is not often we get to see one of these rarities out in public, so being able to see one running up the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed is a special treat indeed.
The one-off was commissioned by the famous rocker with the intent of creating a modern day Berlinetta Boxer. Rumors of a V-12 stuffed under the rear bonnet were originally speculated when the first details leaked out about the project, but the end result was re-bodied 458 Italia, powered by a 4.5-liter 570 HP V8.
The SP12 EC is rumored to cost in the neighborhood of $4.5 million with Clapton saying it was one of the most satisfying things he's ever done. For this we say keep on rocking Slowhand!

I gotta say, all that money spent on bodywork and they didn't even change the wheels.
I would be nice if a testarossa was brought to the future with a different engine trans interior and revised bodywork.

I'm going to have too agree with Speed. Consider that cost they could have done a better job, at less Lamborghini did a complete makeover when they show the Veneno. Hell it's still cheaper than this and far better looking. Personally I find this design to be boring and outdated.
