Chris Harris Drives 458 Spyder Like A Complete Idiot

Chris Harris is officially banned from Ferrari press cars, and has been since writing "How Ferrari Spins." Given the Italian penchant for grudge holding, his place—along with any of his offspring's—on Maranello's blacklist would seem secure. For the record, I'd happily publish that Ferrari coolant is an acceptable substitute for baby formula if I got invited on its junkets. But just how did he wind up getting track time in a 458 Spyder? The official explanation is that he borrowed the Cavallino from a journo buddy who's on speaking terms with the factory. Sounds reasonable, right?

But I have to wonder: Just how many RHD 458 Spyders (number plate SB FNE) are currently kicking around? Wouldn't it be super easy for Ferrari to track down who broke the rules? And who in their right mind would risk a Ferrari ban without even getting the satisfaction of writing a tell-all piece about it, ŕ la Harris? Of course, there's the very real possibility this video was shot months ago, and the chain of custody surrounding the Ferrari is now twisty enough that tracking down the perpetrator would be too tricky. Or maybe—just maybe—Ferrari has forgiven our hero, and wants to save face?

Regardless, in this clip Harris drives the 458 Spyder like a complete idiot. Awesome.

Is it just me who thinks that the 458 is way sexier, among other things, than the 12C? What a blast!!!!
