If I'm not mistaken, the Fabspeed x-pipe exhaust system will add +22hp and lose -20kg over the stock OEM Scud muffler / exhaust. That's a huge difference! And it will only set you back 2800$ great mod!

That cant be right?

Where did you get that weight? 20kg is about 44lbs, and I believe the stock exhaust/muffler weighs only 30lbs?

The whole stock exhaust system (including cats, headers, muffler etc) is about 98-99lbs which is 44kg!

That's a significant change in the Scud, especially because it's already a very light car, weighing in at 1360kg
You are referring to the Texas customer who straight piped his Scuderia, and is also running 100% race gas. My RSC exhaust sounds nuts on my Scuderia, am also running Capristo Headers. I have kept the stock cats in place. It is freaking loud! Some drone around 3k RPM.

Many of the systems remove the valves, which IMO are necessary to keep the drone out of the system around 2800 - 3200 rpm. Best system IMO would be RSC, or Fabspeed X-pipe, customized with the valves added back in.

Also, you will not gain any hp on a Scuderia by changing headers. The Stock headers do not have pre-cats in them. For HP, best bet is to go aftermarket exhaust, sport cats, and then a tune. You might pick up close to 50hp at the wheels, 475-485, up from around 425-427 stock. That is if Fabspeed's numbers are correct and accurate.

If you and your neightbors, and local law enforcement can handle the noise volume of a straight piped Scuderia, go with test pipes, but I warn you, it will be insanely loud. Running 100% race gas would be tough, unless you wanted to have a drum in your garage all year long? Then, do you trailer you car everywhere?

Thank you very much Mark for your input. Very helpful!

After taking in what you said, I have decided to not go for headers period. In the Fabspeed website, they have these mods_

1- Ferrari Scuderia Sport Race High Performance Catalytic Converters
2- catbypass pipe
3- x-pipe exhaust

What's the difference between the Catalytic converters vs catbypass Pipe? They looked very similar!

Go for Tubi.. Believe me. I'm preparing to order mine in "LM" specs (only for F40) but it's a special order ;-) ;-)

Best

Difference is you will now have no cats, extremely loud with straight pipes and will not pass emissions if you have testing in your area. You will also need an ECU tune to get rid of the CEL light you will get.
