Finally picked up the Ferrari today, but there's a minor chip between the bumper and the fender... They claim this is "normal" due to Ferrari testing every car before shipping it out...

P.S. Decided to go with the thick dark color 5 star wheel before the carbon wheels get here. But dealer don't have the dark color 5 star in stock, only the normal silver 5 star set, so I took a set to be painted... more waiting time I guess...

Normal to have a chip in the paint? That is total BS, make them fix it!

They said they're willing to repaint the whole bumper or use touch up paint. I prefer not letting them paint the whole bumper because of this minor paint chip. But this just proves that Ferrari needs to be more careful with their car inspection.

Ask Todd Cooperider from Esoteric Detail how careful Ferrari is with their inspections. They still think that after using a wool pad and compound, or after wet sanding, that the car looks great. No polish needed, LOL.

Just got a set of the factory thin 5 star wheels to use in the meantime... debating on the factory gloss finish or the flat finish...

Agreed - on the Giallo Modena the matte would look stellar.
