Ferrari Recalling 206 458's and California's
Ferrari is recalling a small batch of 458's and California's worldwide. The problem, which affects 206 cars in total of 13,000 built, is caused by an incorrect finish to the crankshafts in question and causes unwanted vibrations which can damage the engine if it is not changed.
“We are writing to all clients affected now, asking them to return the car to a dealer for the work to be done,” said a Ferrari spokesman.

stop it. it's less than a few hundred cars out of 13,000 (which does that number seem huge or what? That's a LOT of 458 and Californias!!! wow.... small production my arse!)
but ya, it's not many considering how many cars they've built. Now, if they can only stop them from catching on fire!

You guys stop complaining. Is always the same thing.
We're talking about machines that can have errors and luckily Ferrari knows and they're taking care of the issue.
I hope they don't call our California! hahah

Not sure how I would feel about having the dealer tear down the entire engine to replace the crank on my brand new 250k+ car. The right way to do it would be for Ferrari to send the dealers new engines for the affected cars.
