Just picked up a 2011 458 with 1300 miles on it. Need the forums opinion on some things. On cold start ups I have a check engine light that goes away after about 10 seconds. Also the powder coating is peeling on the intake manifold.





And yes it sits next to a domestic:

 

hey nothing wrong with having a ZR1 and a 458

the intake manifold is something the dealer should attend to, maybe even replace. If you're paying $250,000 it should be perfect, especially something like the intake manifold paint.

In regards to the check engine light, many cars have their check engine lights come on when you start it up. They usually turn off within 1-2 seconds so maybe the computer is picking up a false reading?

Can't really tell you much other than you have a beautiful car. I guarantee that they'll replace your intake manifold if you just take it in.

had a bunch of other warning lights go off, mainly "electrical failure, go to dealer" or some sh!t, but its because its been parked a while, and battery dont have enough juice, but once it gets going everything went out and good.
definitely go to the dealer for ur check engine light though.

also i never looked into my 458 engine bay, after seeing urs, i will continue not to, because of the disappointment.
more reason to get a spider!!
