Before I joined, i didn't know there were so many good places to drive near where we live, the parties are great too, but the driving and people, especially our club president is just the greatest, but ever since i joined, the mileage of my cars has gone up more than 250%!!

That's not so terrible because ever since I became an owner my waist size has gone up by 10% from all the eating and drinking at the various events!!

Maybe the club in Taipai is great, but the FCA/Desert Region (AZ) has been taken over by weasels. Most of these guys don't even own a Ferrari and are barely enthusiasts, are drama queens and couldn't get people to show up, even if they paid them to come!

 

is that so? I did go to a meet some time ago and other than Dan in his CS, there weren't too many "hot" F cars around

Dan actually bought a mutual friend's F40. And that has since moved on.

I (along with 3 others) had started the FCA/Desert Region about 15 years ago. The challenges happened when the core group basically let some foxes into the hen house so to speak. As a result it has turned into the shell that it is now.

The core group still gets tons of people together for our monthly Cars and Coffee, as well as drives. We've got a Christmas party this weekend, that we had to limit attendance of, because we ran out of room. The FCA on the other hand has trouble filling a table for 4 for their Holiday get together!
