thanks stoppie, that was an awesome reply! BUT i have to throw a monkey wrench in there! What about a Carrera GT? not too much more expensive? i would say a contender if you were considering spending that kind of $$ on a car?

Actually DK (who owns the 458) is on the hunt for a CGT.

I would think its a lot easier to get a 458 versus finding the right Carrera GT. But given the chance, I'd own a CGT first. But in most scenario's financially speaking, clients who spend that sort of money on a car can typically afford both if not several cars. So, again, if I had the means- I'd have both.

I'd be ecstatic with a mkIIGT3RS, 458 and a Carrera GT. Probably overly orgasmic-ecstatic. LOL

^ While they are very different, why would you want both a 2RS and 3RS at the expense of mixing it up with an F-car in the middle?

i just think the 3 is the ultimate NA car while the 2 is the ultimate turbo car. Plus i like the limited production #. i think going into the future i would rather have something they only made 500 of where as the 458, although an amazing car, will just be the lower current Ferrari model, know what i mean?

JWM; honestly if you experienced the 458, you would NOT think that at all.

It's a 458, not an entry level Honda. If you're not impressed with a 458 you should just quit driving sports cars all together and just go get a ............Lexus ES350 lol

thats not what i said or meant Stoppie. I am sure i would be very impressed. What i was trying to say is that the 2RS is the best of the best for turbo Porsches and is exclusive where the 458 while it is an unbelievable car, just doesnt seem like it will go down in history as well, its a great car but like the 360 or 430 once a new model comes out will just end up being the next "old model". I think i just like the limited production numbers for the 2RS.

please dont take this the wrong way, i LOVE the 458 and i am not downgrading it what so ever. Hardly any cars "hold there value" i am well aware fo this BUT i think the 2RS will hold slightly better then the 458 because of its limited production
