Scud Radio Question - PLEASE HELP !

I did a search and also tried to understand the manual. After playing with the Becker 6112 Cascade for an hour I finally gave up.

Can anyone tell me how to scan for radio stations and then set the station to my choice ?

I have tried everything and nothing is working. BTW there are stations preset from the previous owner that I would like to delete and then replace with my favorites.

Whoever invented this radio should be shot.

Thanks

I *should* know this as it's the same unit they used in the 996's.

I believe you have to be in the m/t mode (manual tune mode) - find your station, then select which preset you'd like it to be on & 'press' that button for a few moments, listen for the beep.

Scanning- Isn't it when you press and hold the right knob for a moment?

Chris,

That would be the logical way to do it.

The Becker Cascade is anything but logical.

Scott, share that! I'd like to know that too. And...once you get the "toys" then it'll be even better! You made me want to drive my Scud so I'm gonna go for a drive!

Switched out the CD changer for a direct plug and play I-pod cable and now it is an acceptable piece of equipment !
