Finally Saw the 458 in the Flesh.
And how is it that everytime Ferrari makes a new mid-engine V8 sports car, I think it can't get any better? Because it DOES!
The 458 is incredible. I was at Ferrari of SF in Mill Valley, and I had the luck of seeing three different ones while I was there. I took pics with my phone, but they apparently dislike uploading to my computer.
I just have two questions regarding the car.
1) Is 70 or 80k over MSRP the going rate??
2) What's with the triple center exhaust? Sure, it looks cool. But how's its functionality?

I have heard that center exhaust is flap actuated. But, I would rather just have a louder exhaust all the time from a dual set up. And, NO, the triple exhaust does not look like a cool subtle ode to the F40.

The F458 Exhaust is functional. What most people don't understand is Ferrari has used the system on every model starting with the 355.
On the 360 and 430, the inner pipes are bypass, and the outer pair are throught he mufflers. Because Ferrari wanted to shave weight, they removed a tip, and the result is the triple set up. A byproduct is improved handling as there is less weight behind the rear wheel centerline.

Its a great looking car, I think even by ferrari standards the price is quiet high for a loaded 458 300k which is close to the bigger ferrari the 599. I think 250k is the max price i would pay for such a car.
