Then no question about it, he "needs" a fine collectible. A Miura (SV will be hard to find for 250k) or something along the line of a Ferrari 250 (275 would be great, but priced around 1Mil). Plus, it won't depreciate like car keys falling out of a Learjet.

Not so old? Ferrari 550 Barchetta or 575 Superamerica?

I agree, go with something timeless... I doubt this car will WOW him no matter what (sounds like he grew up with the finer things). A classic Porsche or Ferrari would be something he would never forget as well as potentially increase or hold in value.

This was for sale a few months back for 62K USD but is now sold. Why not expand your search outside of the exotics?

You have a good point in looking at old skool, as I deal with newer exotics day in day out its not the norm to think about older cars. Maybe an old skool Porsche, Ferrari something he can look back at and say that was my 25th birthday present! Thats why i put it out on the forum for some help!

with an M3 CSL and a RR SC at hand, an exotic would be cool but if I was his dad and I really would want to get him a special car I`d get an 997.2 GT3 RS or Turbo..not more than that

I think it would be a much better feeling if you have earned your first exotic yourself

but for you...the higher the sum,the better....so just talk him into getting a 599 GTO for him
Or a LP670-SV

Actually good point, what would look great maybe if he wants a GT3RS.2 with a flashy colour like Mexico Blue or GT3RS Green.

I'd buy him a 3 series and a 401K.

I will never buy my child something nicer than an M3 (even at 25) regardless of my wealth.

But if I could buy myself a car for that price, right now it would be a 458.
