Photos of Ferrari 458 Italia on Fire

Source: WreckedExotics

Last week we showed you photos of a Ferrari 458 Italia which had been burned to a crisp.

Now we have photos of the actual incident.

Turns out the Ferrari was in Switzerland when the engine caught fire, not France as we mistakingly reported. The incident took place on July 14th.

Interestingly, another Ferrari 458 Italia caught fire the same week in Paris, France.

The fire seems to have started in the same area of the rear left panel.

A passerby used a fire extinguisher to stop the flames before it engulfed the vehicle.

WOW, I remember the 355s were always getting crashed by entry-Ferrari owners, but now it seems Ferrari is beating owners to the punch, hate hate hate to see this stuff! Yea there is insurance, but I would be asking for a separate check for diminished pleasure for each day w/o an Fcar!

Glad to see it's a proper mid-engined Ferrari . . .

I am huge fan of Ferrari's.I don't understand why F-cars cautch on fire this much. This make me sick and a question comes in my mind..Why Lambo's cautch on fire less than Ferrari's?...

Ferrari's catch on fire more often because they don't know how to contain that Italian stallion within. Where Lambo's know how to control the angry bull.
