Possibility of no 458 Scuderia?
Friend of mine from a different site pointed this out to me from AutoExpress. I'm sure they'll find a way to improve the 458

A seperate spokesman for the brand explained:
"The more hardcore editions have been a huge success for us over the last few years, so that's certainly the plan with the 458 too. But unless we can present pioneering and innovative technology there's no point in making a 458 Scuderia regardless. At the moment it's hard to see how we could move the game forward significantly enough from the standard 458."

Ferrari plays this game every time but that's just because they don't want people holding off their purchase because the 'new and improved version!' might be lurking right around the corner. Which it always is.
Maybe there won't be much room for technical improvements - highly doubt that - but no one is going to dispute that there certainly there are certainly some 'enhancements' possible in the styling department. A Scuderia-esque styling pack could do wonders for the car.

Ferrari has been playing this game for a long time. I'm sure they put something in their back pocket for the Sport version. They need to maintain limited models for the ultra exclusivity. It's doesn't make sense to just drop the limited edition, "highest performance" version from the platform. I bet they already know how to squeeze out a few more horsepower and there will be a few design tweaks to the grill and rear end. Maybe two tone livery will be standard or even a CF roof. Add a CF Engine package, CF doors panels, a bit lighter overall and some new wheels. Make it a limited run of 500 units and watch people line up.

Couldn't have said it better myself
