What would it change in your opinion? Less of the racing feel maybe? I could see that. The way I think of it is that I'm not going for my fastest lap time on the street so I'd rather have a gearbox that was more engaging.

 

 

I am all about going faster. I was a die hard manual gearbox guy. There is nothing like getting a double clutch down shift right.... heel and toe, etc.

The first time I drove an F1 gearbox car was on a track. I instantly was 3 seconds/lap quicker. I knew there was something to this tech.

The F1 box isn't less involving. It's involving in a different way, and requires a different skill set. Left foot braking. Working the gas and the brakes to balance the car, etc.
