All but the most serious collectors are a bit wary of the high price.
And the list is not that easy to get on.
Dealers will be raping way above sticker early on.
It's a conflagration of events. But the car will end up being one of Ferraris best ever IMHO.

I don't disagree that the car will be good. I'm not a fan at all of the looks but I'm sure the scud version will be a solid piece of metal. The true question will be "will it be too good" Too easy to drive?

Dana I disagree. Anyone with the cash will be able to buy a 458 with the lack of interest and lack of actual buyers right now in the market. Ferrari is going to dilute their name brand with this car because they have to keep the factory going. So don't expect any above msrp to sell through dealers and don't expect anyone to have an issue getting one. I see not unlike the end of the Scuds where Ferrari forced all dealers to take 1 or 2 last cars something like 3 or 4 at each dealer in the country by the end of the year. Unless Ferrari wakes up and cuts production another few months this will be a very easy car to own.

I hope you are right. I would love to buy one in the next year or so.

The 360's and 430's are such insane value now I hope and wish everyone I know has one. Damn a 85-90k 360 Spider has so much value over the New Junk in that price range you can't believe it. Dana snatch up a 430 before you look into a 458 you will have so much car you won't know what to do with it all
