I have been a long time Porsche owner and am contemplating switching to a Modena motivating partly by just wanting a change. Can anyone out there give some advise as to the maintenance of the Modena esp the transmission, FI paddle shift, timing chain, etc and what are the tips in prolonging the life of some of these parts that I hear break down often and are costly to replace/repair.

 

plan for $5-8k on yearly maintenance and repairs. this is if the car is in excellent shape to begin with.

clutch needs replacement every 15-17k mi
timing belt every 2 yrs
yearly fluids
new hoses every 4-5 yrs
