Electric Ferrari
I hear all this electric car hype...the e RUF and so on.
My question is would any of you roll an electric Ferrari?
For me its a clear "no". Just curious as to other car enthusiasts opinions on this.

The day Ferrari come out with an electric car, will be a very sad day in motoring history. For me personally, there are three very important things that stirs the soul when owning a ferrari. 1. The design 2. The color 3. The sound! Apart from countless other things but the sound lets you know that you are in an italian stallion. Electric car + Ferrari = FAIL in my book.. actually, electric car in general IMO is a no no, purely from a petrolhead's POV.

^^^Couldnt agree more. I was talking to one of the Tesla sales reps the other day and he was telling me how the car has a 1 speed tranny and does make some sort of a noise lol. I was amused when he said the top speed was 125mph. I know they will only get faster but the whole concept is just so lame. Like the other poster said, a part of me will die inside when there are electric exotics and F1 cars....weak.

Electric....?
>1,000lb of extra battery weight? No exotic Ferrari sound? This wouldn't be a car anyone would want.
If Ferrari were to ever change to an alternative fuel source, you can bet your first born that it will be Hydrogen.
Think about it...
+ No emission standards to limit the car.
+ No batteries to weight it down.
+ No multi-hour refueling time.
Some say that the BMW 7 series Hydrogen (when using hydrogen fuel) sounds waaaay better than when it uses Petroleum. I can only imagine the sweet sound a hydrogen Ferarri would make.
My 2 cents.
