Oh Snap!

Speaking of car values in Canada, when I was combing the dealerships looking for my GT2 5 years ago, I found one in Canada with the options I wanted. With the factory no longer taking orders, I was desperate enough to consider importing one that had what I was looking for. Though the asking price was a high number, I assumed it was in Canadian currency. Well, it wasn't, they were unwilling to negotiate, and didn't seem to be able to comprehend the meaning of the word. It was hard to even get upset, because the whole thing was just so silly. I almost felt sorry for the guy.
Shortly thereafter, I found another car with an even better array of options at a dealer in Long Island. They wanted MSRP, which frankly I felt was ridiculous for a car they had sat on for nearly a year. As I attempted to feel them out on a better price, the salesman suggested that perhaps one of their GT3s on the lot would be a better fit. Cute.
Less than a month later, I purchased a car comparable to the other two, with actually a few nicer options for $70k less than the Canadian car and $35k less than the Long Island car. I faxed the bill of sale to the salesman that thought the GT3 was more appropriate, but for some reason never heard back from him.
They had that car on their showroom floor for many, many months afterwards. I suspect they ultimately let it go at a significant discount.I guess the moral of my ramblings, is that it pays off to persevere in your quest, as you will ultimately find people that are serious about making a deal.

Actually, I am surprised they didn't take your offer. That's fair, though I know they were short of 16M's & taking all of Calgary's allotment. My F430 came from Toronto as a trade for the 16M b/c of the demand out there I guess.
