If by Lysholm you mean Roots-style (screw-type a la E55 Kompressor), no. The system uses twin Rotrex centrifugal superchargers. The Rotrex design is not a straight traditional centrifugal geardriven setup, but close enough.

You won't be able to see the actual superchargers after the install as they are tucked away deep towards the front of the motor. I took some shots for you to show you roughly their location. If you were to follow the aluminum inlet tube (pictured) down, it would lead you to the sc unit. One on each side.

Air enters through the stock air inlets on either side of the car and get directed into a hidden airbox/panel filter, then into a carbon inlet tube which comes into the engine compartment from the side panel, attaches to the MAF sensor (mass air flow), then into the throttle body, then into another carbon tube that goes back into the carbon panel (see previous pictures), which leads to the aluminum tubing that runs down to the supercharger which accelerates the air and directs it back up through the cooler cores (where the stock airbox used to be) where its cooled before entering the plenum/intake manifold via a silicone hose attachment (where the stock MAF/TB's used to be). Whew!

Photo 1: Passenger side engine panel (Left side of picture is front of motor) :: Highlighted area represented in proceeding images.

Photo 2: Looking through the mesh, you can begin to see the aluminum tubing.

Photo 3: A close-up of the 90 deg tube as it bends down moving the air to the supercharger down below.

Nice work. Is there really 15-20% drivetrain loss on a manual car that's mid engine/rear drive?

What is the uncorrected final number?

Not 15-20%. It's somewhere between 12-15%. The important thing is the delta between stock baseline and post upgrade. Nice big gains.

With smoothing set to 5, the uncorrected horsepower is 671 RWHP, if I recall. Posted dyno plots are all SAE corrected.

Great work Simon!

Are you guys taking the Novitec hardware and tuning it...more boost/fuel/timing etc.?

Also I'm assuming that these numbers are on race gas right...if so what could the numbers be if running pump gas?

*Waiting For Vids*

I'm sorry, did you ask something? I think we have a bad Internet connection

These numbers are on a 95 octane mix. We haven't tested race fuel (100/104) yet. All Novitec claimed numbers are done with 95 RON (equivalent to about 92-93 US). I wouldn't be surprised to see a variance of 30-40+ HP in either direction depending on fuel used.

Simon thanks for a lot for taking the time to explain to me where they are located. I was always dazzled by the fact that everything is tucked in considering the lack of space.
