retarded i know, but i just have to have this novitec one too.
when my scud comes in 4 months, i'll have three 430s??!!

anyhow, some background info for those who like mods ....

My 05' novitec 430 is a complete car paid by the ex-owner with EVERY part avaliable on the rosso list except for the SC and some interior parts.

My 07' 430 has ceramic brakes, rear parking sensors .... bone stock.

First off, the novitec has a much more comfy ride and slower off the line than my 07' mainly due to its 255/355 !!! tires. It also follows cracks in the road like a hound dog.

My 07' feels livelier, faster, lighter, and more fun and exciting to go fast and more confidence inspiring. I cant see out the novitec better due to its limo tint all around and the huge a$$ wing in the back.
And somehow novi's 8 piston steel brakes are not as confidence inspiring as my stock CBs. But the CBs are a little too grabby sometimes.
The novi's computer, intake, and exhaust definitely made the engine rev faster than stock, and the sound is just terrifying,
but not the tone that i wished for, it sounds like a angry trashy race car even at idle.
I think the Kreisg ones from Japan are better and sharper. But anything louder than stock is fine with me.
Car is definitely faster by my sensitive seat of the pants, the 520hp quoted is reasonable, but with stock 19s, this would be a real MONSTER!!
Novi corners flat with no drama but less excitement, the 355s just wont let go under "race", maybe i sould try CST off with this car.
Carbon pieces on, in, and around the engine bay are the best i seen, actually its 10 million times better than even the factory ones.
The S.S exhaust is so nice and polished with perfect welds that i think its better than the high price Kreiseg's.
I dont think I would pay the $130k mods alone price when new, but i definitely got a good deal now.
All the Novitec's parts are awesome and super quality stuff, fits perfectly, looks bad a$$ ..... hence the price.

Also i'm amazed at the difference in materials between model years 05' and 07'.
I have 2400 miles on the 07' and 7200 miles on the 05', both look, smell, and feel like new cars.
But somehow the 05's switches, controls, materials, and levers feel lose.
From the outside door handles to the feel of the leather are all different.
My 07's leathers feel soft and supple while the old one feels hard and a little shinny,
of course they are all relative because both are all quite new and well cared for.

The 05' switches feels and look they gonna turn sticky down the road while the 07' look new, soft, and more "matt" finished.
For those looking to buy 430s, i definitely look for 07' or later examples, ferrari definitely "improved" many minor things especially the materials along the way. Just like porsche did with their later 996 interior.

Lastly the amount of attention the novitec draws is just stupid, i get stalked by everything, i just cant go fast by myself.
Everything wants to race my a$$ which is scary because i cant see anything out back and plus no other exhaust is louder than mine so i cant notice them.
I dont know its the stripes, huge a$$ wing, black rims, or the trashy race engine pit bull sound that attracts people like a moving 6 flags amusement park.
Driving my normal 430 is much less stressful, enjoyable, and relaxing. I guess im telling those who wants to mod their 430s not to,
but now i have a model chick AND a perfect porn star. It doesnt get any better than this, until i can tell u more about the super star Scud.

By the way, if you get sick of people following you, you just just upgrade to the 770bhp S/C kit. Then nobody would be able to follow you because nothing (barring the Veyron) could keep up!

 

Awesome car and write up. We always here the press releases on these cars and how great the upgrades are but i've never heard a first hand account from anyone who actually had one. Very cool to see how the modifications hold up in the real world.

I know what you mean about the subtle variances between model years. I've sat and driven some early model 430's. You can see and feel the difference with the newer models. Like any make/model, they tweak and upgrade as they go.
