So a couple of days ago i was out having a chat with the Ferrari and Maserati supplyer here in Sweden. Great guys and they always have something interresting to show me.

Well this time they had something called a F430 Race Edition. I am a Ferrari guy but i have never ever heard of it. It was a blueish (not any ordinary ferrari colour and with beige leather interior. It had a different exhaust with a muffler the size of the scuderias, challenge wheels and 4-point harnesses. Along with this the plaque above the radio didn't read F430, but F430 Race Edition.

So, anyone have one of these and can enlighten me?

 

could it be non-factory, i.e. Novitec or something (I know they have a RACE F430 or thats what they call the program)

Before the Scuderia came out, Ferrari produced a couple of 430 Race Editions where buyers participate in races all year round with other owners. I think they removed the e-diff and replaced it with a manual differential and upped the exhaust sound.

Nope non of the above! It looked like a normal F430 with just a couple of tveeks. I'll speak to him tomorrow and see if it's still there!
