Dana, I am sure you thought about this so I am wondering your reason:
Why 997TT + 360 rather than F430? Hard to go wrong either way, just wondering what influenced your decision since I don't see the need for an AWD in socal, the F430 (and even 360) can be DD, and all are equally (im)practical.
Sure they are different animals and maybe you just like that variety.

I bought the 360 because it was the best deal out there. The F430 just hasn't hit the sweet spot on price.
I have always wanted to buy a Ferrari. I will likely buy several in the next couple of years.
The two cars compliment each other very well. One is a turbo the other is naturally aspirated. One has a lot of low end torque while the other sings at higher RPMs. One is very utilitarian while the other is excessive.
It is kind of the best of both worlds.

Dana, very true. The cars are both exquisite machines. And dare I say, equally gratifying.
Just curious what your take was. My main reasoning was that an F430 can be had for approx $150K, while your 2 cars combined are approx $200K. Again, an F430 does not come close to capturing the unique qualities of either, let alone both combined. Just seeing what your take was since I'm sure it ran through your head.

Personally, I think that while not as fast or technologically advanced as the 430, the 360 is the better looking and better sounding machine of the two. My opinion is not based on driving experience or ownership, just the impression of the average enthusiast
