I think it's worth $600 considering it costs $250 to replace a benz key these days (which i do realize are infinitely more complex) + $250 in labor to re-program it but it's not like it is 2k for a key - it's probably a couple hundy more than what it would cost for an OEM replacement for what you currently have IMO.

I got the fancy Porsche key for my 911TT. I'd do it, it looks good. OTOH, I kinda like the look of you 'regular' key too......and it's $630 cheaper, you could have a LOT of fun burning through a set of rear tires for just a bit more than that........
